Morris 10U Takes Second At 2A State Tournament In Rosemount 31 Jul 18

ROSEMOUNT – The Morris Tigers 10U baseball team took second place at the Minnesota Sports Federation 2A State Tournament held in Rosemount over the weekend.

In pool play the Tigers defeated Hastings on Friday 5-2, and Waite Park on Saturday 7-0.

In tournament play Saturday Morris routed Hutchinson 17-0, and ended the day with a 5-1 win over Rochester.

On Sunday the Tigers defeated Marshall 11-1 in the semifinals, before suffering their first loss of the year with an 8-5 loss to Anoka in the championship game.



The Tigers end the year with a 19-1 record, and the roster included Ian Grove, Tyson Grove, Landon Wolf, Grant Anderson, Alex Asmus, Davis Mundal, Hunter Smith, Riley Asmus, Kye Suess, Jack Kehoe, Carter Pew, and Jonah Huebner. Team coaches were Jarrod Asmus, Tim Grove, and Scott Mundal.
