Vogel Pitches 29ers Past Hancock, Glenwood/Lowry Pulls Away Late 10 Jul 18

Glenwood/Lowry 14, Morris 5
MORRIS – Glenwood/Lowry scored 12 runs over their final two at-bats to pull away from Morris for a 14-5 win in legion baseball on Monday night from Chizek Field.
Ryan Christenson and Jake Hoffman each had three hits and three RBI’s to lead Glenwood/Lowry, Parker Holtberg went 3-5 with two RBI’s and two runs, and Sean Kelling went 6.1 innings for the win.
Kelling allowed five runs (two earned) on five hits, a walk, and six strikeouts.
Brock Anderson took the loss in relief, allowing 12 runs (nine earned) over 1.1 innings. Jaret Johnson started and went five innings for the no-decision. Johnson allowed two runs on six hits with five walks and three strikeouts.
Johnson knocked in two runs at the plate, Parker Dierks and Chandler Vogel each picked up an RBI as the 29ers fall to 5-5 on the season. 

Morris 10, Hancock 0
MORRIS – Chandler Vogel tossed five shutout innings and Morris defeated Hancock 10-0 in legion baseball from Chizek Field on Tuesday.
Vogel allowed just one hit, striking out six as he cruised through five innings on only 54 pitches.
The 29ers continued to add to their early lead, scoring in each of their five at-bats. Joe Kleinwolterink led the charge at the plate, going 3-3 with four RBI’s and scoring twice, Jaret Johnson had a pair of RBI’s, Tyler Reimers and Parker Dierks each had two hits and two runs scored as Morris improved to 6-5.
Gideon Joos had the lone hit for Hancock, who got 2.1 innings from each Peyton Rohloff and Andrew Shaw.
