B-E/WCA Builds Early Lead In Win Over Morris 26 Jun 18

Brandon-Evansville/West Central Area 9, Morris 5
MORRIS – Brandon-Evansville/West Central Area scored four quick runs over the first two innings and held off Morris for a 9-5 win on Monday.
Christian Koefod held Morris hitless over four innings for the win, allowing three runs (two earned) on four walks and seven strikeouts. Nick Thorstad gave up two unearned runs over three innings for the save.
Isiah Sykora had a two-run double for post 188, Scott Johnson and Tanner Bennett each added RBI’s.
Chandler Vogel gave up six runs (four earned) on six hits and four walks with six strikeouts over five innings and took the loss. Kevin Asfeld allowed three unearned runs over two relief innings. Tyler Reimers drove in two on one of the two Morris hits, Vogel had the other. 

Fergus Falls 8, Morris 2
MORRIS – Fergus Falls put together a four-run fifth to break a 2-2 tie and earn an 8-2 win over Morris on Tuesday.
Nathan Zierdan tossed 6.1 innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits, three walks and six strikeouts for the win.
Jaret Johnson and Brock Anderson each provided a hit and RBI for the 29ers, Jordan Leuthardt took the loss, allowing six runs (three earned) on eight hits and seven walks, with two strikeouts.  With the loss Morris is 4-5.

Osakis 3, Glenwood/Lowry 1
GLENWOOD – Carter Rost struck out seven over four shutout innings and Osakis defeated Glenwood/Lowry 3-1 on Monday.
Rost helped his own cause by going 3-3 with two RBI’s off Matt Gruber, who went the distance for Glenwood/Lowry, allowing three runs (one earned) on six hits with a walk and seven strikeouts.
Colin Weidauer had two hits and Sean Kelling drove in a run for Glenwood/Lowry.

Wheaton 7, Hancock 2

Benson 3, Morris 0
MORRIS – Morris was limited to just two hits in a 3-0 loss to Benson in Jr. Legion baseball on Tuesday.
Eli Grove pitched seven solid innings for the 5039s, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits and three walks, striking out six, but it wasn’t enough as the lineup was held in check all night.
Zach Bruns and Brandon Jergenson each had hits for Morris who fell to 3-4.
