MORRIS – Chandler Vogel tossed six innings of shutout ball and the Morris 29ers defeated Wheaton 10-0 in legion baseball on Thursday.
Vogel struck out eight while allowing two hits and issuing just one walk. Jaret Johnson led a 12-hit attack by the 29ers, going 3-4 with two RBI’s and two runs, Brock Anderson went 2-3 with two RBI’s and a run, Tyler Reimers also drove in a pair for Morris who is 3-0.
Matt Thielen took the loss for the Bandits, giving up seven runs (four earned) on eight hits over five innings and striking out nine, but Wheaton was held in check at the plate, falling to 2-2.

Hancock 9, Glenwood/Lowry 6
HANCOCK – Hancock overcame an early six-run deficit to defeat Glenwood/Lowry 9-6 from Marthaler Field in Glenwood.
After Glenwood scored six in the second, Post. 29 answered with a seven-run third, adding two more in the fifth. Preston Rohloff got the win in relief, tossing 5.1 shutout innings, allowing two hits and a walk, striking out five. Peyton Rohloff was 2-4 with two runs, Michael Milander had a pair of doubles for Hancock who is now 2-1. Glenwood/Lowry falls to 3-2.

Osakis 14, Brandon-Evansville/West Central Area 0
EVANSVILLE – Osakis outhit Brandon-Evansville/West Central Area 18-2, on their way to a 14-1 rout of Post 188.
Brandon Merritt allowed nine runs on 13 hits and three walks over 5.1 innings, Isiah Sykora gave up five unearned runs over 1.2 of relief. Scott Johnson had a hit and scored the lone run as Post 188 falls to 0-4.
