29ers Suffer First Loss To Minneapolis In Legion Wood Bat Tourney 22 Jun 18

MARSHALL – Morris battled through seven innings, but couldn’t catch Minneapolis in a 9-6 loss in a legion baseball wood bat tournament from Marshall on Friday night.
The Lakers broke a 3-3 tie with two in the bottom of the third, adding two in each of the next two innings for a 9-3 lead before Morris rallied for three in their final two at-bats, but ultimately came up short.
For the second straight game Jaret Johnson was 3-4 and drove in a run, Tyler Reimers was 2-4 with an RBI. Jordan Leuthardt started, allowing five runs (two earned) on four hits over three innings. Alex Daugherty took the loss in relief, giving up four runs on four hits in two innings.
The 29ers are 3-1 and the tournament continues Saturday at noon.
