Cougars Pearson Competes In 100-Meter Dash At Nationals 29 May 18

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Having to wait three hours after his scheduled race time due to a weather delay, Minnesota Morris freshman sprinter Justin Pearson represented the Cougars in the 100-meter dash at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships in La Crosse Friday night.

Running in the first of three heats, Pearson had a great start out of the blocks and finished with a time of 11.03, good for 17th place. The Elk River native was the first Cougar male to compete at nationals since Chalmer Combellick finished 14th in the 1500 meters at the 2016 championships.
