Tiger Girls Take Second, Boys Third At Section True Team Meet 09 May 18

Section 5A True Team Meet
GLENWOOD – With 21 top ten finishes, the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tiger girls track and field team took second place at the True Team Section 5A Meet from Minnewaska Area High School on Tuesday. The Tiger boys had 24 top ten finishes and placed third. 

Maddie and Meredith Carrington provided the Tigers two first place finishes in the 1600 and 3200. Olivia Lebrjia had three top five finishes for the 100 hurdles (3rd), 100 (2nd), and high jump (5th). Maddie Carrington took second in the 800, and the relay teams for 4×400 and 4×800 were runner-up.

The Tiger boys had four firsts, including Camden Arndt for the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles, Jaden Maanum in the 800, and the 4×800 relay team of Tate Nelson, Ben Hernandez, Noah Stewart and Maanum. Stewart was also the runner-up in the 1600, as were the 4×200 relay team. 

Minnewaska took first in team scoring for the girls, Montevideo for the boys.

Benson Invite
BENSON – The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tiger girls golf team took third at the Benson Invite on Wednesday with a 381, Hannah Zimmel tied for fourth with an 86. Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa took first.
