Hancock Grabs Top Seed In A Loaded 6A-South Playoff Bracket 03 Mar 18

MORRIS – The Hancock Owls have earned the number one seed in the 6A-South boys basketball playoffs. 

The Owls are the Pheasant Conference champions and have a 22-2 record, including a perfect 16-0 in section play. Parkers Prairie (22-2) narrowly lost out on the top seed, likely due to their season opening loss to the Owls, and will have the number two seed. 

The Owls and Panthers await for their quarterfinal opponent to emerge from Monday’s play-in round, which features tenth seed Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley (4-17) heading to Underwood (7-18) to face the Rockets, winner gets Parkers Prairie.

Hancock will face the winner between eighth seeded Ashby (6-17) and ninth seed Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (3-20). 

Quarterfinal games that are set for Thursday, March 8th include fourth seed Battle Lake (17-7) hosting fifth seed Brandon-Evansville (16-10). Ortonville (18-6) is seeded third and will host sixth seed West Central Area (15-9).
