Redmen Defeat Tigers With Fourth Quarter Run To Erase Late Deficit 19 Feb 18

SISSETON – Sisseton closed the game on a 19-5 run to erase a ten point fourth quarter deficit and defeat Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 56-52 on Monday night in Sisseton.
The game was tied 25-25 at halftime before the Tigers built up a seven point lead heading into the fourth, where they stretched that lead to 10 with under five minutes to play. Staring at their biggest deficit of the game, the Redmen responded with a 6-0 spurt and carried that momentum until the final buzzer.
Jaret Johnson led all scorers with 19 points with seven rebounds before fouling out late, Camden Arndt added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Tigers who suffer their third straight loss, falling to 10-13.
The Redmen had four players in double figures scoring, led by Benji Thompson’s 12, 11 each from Dion Iyarpeya and Nate Nielson, Spencer Weatherstone added 10.
The Remen shot 46 percent from the floor and improve to 14-5.
