Hancock Senior Kannegiesser Makes 2018 Mr. Basketball ‘Watch List’ 16 Jan 18

MORRIS – Hancock Owls senior Noah Kannegiesser is one of 26 players across the state named to the 2018 Mr. Basketball watch list. 

The award is handed out to the Minnesota high school basketball player of the year, and will be cut down to ten in early February, before the five finalist are announced in mid-March. 

Kannegiesser leads and Owls squad coached by Cory Bedel who are 9-1 on the season. He is averaging 37.3 points per game, 5.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.9 steals and shooting 64 percent from the floor. 

He reached the 2,000 point milestone earlier this year in a win over Hillcrest Lutheran Academy. Kannegiesser has four games this season scoring 40 or more points, four games of 30 or more, and his lowest output to date is a 28-point performance.
