..DANGEROUSLY COLD WIND CHILLS ACROSS WESTERN AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA BEGINNING LATE TONIGHT...EXPANDING ACROSS CENTRAL MINNESOTA AND WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN MONDAY NIGHT... 

 

TONIGHT…

 

Dangerously cold wind chills of 30 to 40 degrees below zero will develop across portions of west central, central and south central Minnesota late tonight, and continuing through Tuesday morning.

For tonight and Monday, A wind chill warning is in effect across a portion of west central, central and south central Minnesota, with a wind chill advisory generally west and south of a Milaca to

Buffalo to Northfield line. Monday evening into Tuesday the wind chill warning expands east to include locations the rest of east central Minnesota, including the Twin Cities. The wind chill warning and advisory will expire at 9 am on Tuesday.

 

Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves, dress in layers, and cover exposed skin. Keep warm clothes with you when traveling.
