Superintendent Lahn Has Second Thoughts 01 Jan 18

Don’t spring for the watch quite yet, Superintendent Rick Lahn may not be hanging it up after all.

Tucked within the materials for next week’s Morris Area School Board meeting is a letter addressed to the Board members, signed in Lahn’s hand. The letter requests that the Board rescind his prior resignation, and asks to begin another round of contract negotiations.

“After some quiet reflection over the holidays,” Lahn writes, “I have decided that I am not ready to retire. My decision is based on my desire to continue to serve the community, students, and employees of our school district, and to see through to completion the project we began together,” an apparent reference to the High School renovation work.

The Board meets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, in the Elementary School Choir Room. The Board will also set the 2018 meeting schedule, the next set of officers, and annual member compensation rates.

the school board members should expect a complete explanation of what lahn has to offer since he already had one temper tantrum and said he would retire/resign,your school needs people with more forsight than lahn has apparently shown .
