Grove Named UMAC Player Of The Week 11 Dec 17

ST. PAUL, Minn. – After a great week where he was one rebound shy of recording two double-doubles, men’s basketball player Noah Grove was named Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Grove is a key reason why the Cougars are off to a perfect 2-0 start in UMAC play this season. He scored 28 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in the team’s home win over Crown then followed that with a 27-point, 9-rebound effort in the Cougars win at UW-Superior. The Morris native shot 52 percent from the floor and was 18-of-21 from the free throw line (86 percent).

Grove is second in the conference in scoring at 20.4 points/game, just behind teammate CD Douglas who is averaging 21.0 points/game.

The Cougars are next on the court Saturday when they host St. Scholastica at 3 p.m. at Jim Gremmels Court.
