Section 6AA – Quarterfinals
Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 34, Breckenridge 7
MORRIS – Camden Arndt ran for two touchdowns and caught another to back a solid defensive effort by Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta as the Tigers cruised past Breckenridge 34-6 in quarterfinal action of the section 6AA playoffs on Tuesday.
Arndt carried 23 times for 115 yards and hauled in a 62-yard touchdown pass from Zach Bruns. Connor Koebernick kept the Cowboys defense off-balance with 64 yards passing and a pair of touchdowns to Jaret Johnson and Kyle Staebler as the Tigers racked up 315 yards of total offense.
The defense held the Cowboys in check, allowing 158 yards and just one first quarter score. Alex Daugherty grabbed an interception and the Tigers improved to 4-5. They now hit the road Saturday to face top-seeded Pillager at 2:00 on Saturday. The Cowboys season ends with a 3-6 record.

West Central Area/Ashby 30, Osakis 13
BARRETT – West Central Area/Ashby ran for 264 yards on their way to a 30-13 win over Osakis.
Brady Sabolik ran for 120 yards and a touchdown while recovering a fumble on defense. Kaden Spindler scored on a 10-yard run and intercepted a pass while recovering a fumble as well.
The Knights are 5-4 and will face Wadena-Deer Creek on Saturday.

Section 4 Nine-Man
Hancock 52, Underwood 20
HANCOCK – Kaleb Koehl connected with Noah Kannegiesser for four first half touchdowns to lead the Hancock Owls past Underwood 52-20 in section 4 Nine-Man playoffs on Tuesday.
Koehl threw five touchdowns total, including strikes of 43, 62, 12, and seven yards to Kannegiesser, and a 76-yarder to Tyler Timmerman. He was 11-22 for 311 yards passing while running for 103 yards and another score.
Kannegiesser had five catches for 136 yards with the four touchdowns, and the Owls defense racked up five sacks, two by Montana Molden and three for Peyton Rohloff.
Brodey Rocholl was 12-19 passing for 57 yards. He carried 13 times for 184 yards and two touchdowns including a 76-yarder that briefly gave the Rockets and early 8-6 lead, before Koehl hit Kannegiesser for a 62 yard score, and the Owls never looked back.
Underwood’s season ends with a mark of 3-6, the Owls are now 6-3 and will  head to Verndale on Saturday to face the top-seeded Pirates in the semifinals.

Bertha-Hewitt 22, Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 14
BERTHA – Bertha-Hewitt’s defense scored two touchdowns to lift the Bears past the CGB Wolverines 22-14 on Tuesday.
Avery Pavek took an interception 45-yards for a score and Brett Jansen picked up a fumble and rumbled 40-yards to the end zone to help out their struggling offense.
Bryce Hoffmann capped a 13-play drive with a five-yard run to open the scoring, and added another five-yard score in the third to cut their deficit to just two. Cedrick Barnes carried 17 times for 86 yards but turnovers once again stifled a solid game for CGB who’s season ends with a record of 2-7.
The Bears are 6-3 and face Brandon-Evansville on Saturday.

Brandon-Evansville 60, Wheaton/Herman-Norcross 6
BRANDON – Jake Hintermeister had four touchdowns and the Brandon-Evansville Chargers dominated Wheaton/Herman-Norcross 60-6 on Tuesday.
Hintermeister ran for 86 yards on nine carries and two touchdowns, he caught two pass for 120 yards including one of 85-yards from Keagan Schiele.
Schiele was 5-9 for 189 yards and three touchdowns and the Chargers racked up 432 yards of total offense, while the defense held the Warriors to just 94. Ben Findlay had almost half of those on his 42-yard touchdown run late in the fourth.
The Chargers are 8-1 and host Bertha-Hewitt on Saturday, the Warriors season comes to an end with a mark of 2-7.

Minnewaska Area 55, Benson 14
GLENWOOD – Minnewaska had 426 yards of total offense and routed Benson 55-14 in quarterfinal playoff action on Tuesday.
Ryan Christianson carried 15 times for 192 yards and a touchdown, Garret Jensen had 92 yards with a score, and Matt Gruber hit paydirt four times for the Lakers who are 7-2 and will face Holdingford on Saturday in the semifinals.
The Braves end a winless season at 0-9.
