Prep Results: Tigers Erase Halftime Deficit To Defeat Osakis On Homecoming 07 Oct 17

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 21, Osakis 20
MORRIS – Camden Arndt ran for 216 yards and caught the game-tying touchdown to the help the MACA Tigers erase a six-point halftime deficit and win on homecoming 21-20 over Osakis on Friday night.
After the Silverstreaks opened the scoring with a pick-six, Arndt ripped off a 74-yard touchdown run to tie. Osakis took a 20-13 lead into the break after a back-n-forth first half, and that’s when the Tiger defense tightened and shutdown the Silverstreaks the rest of the way.
In the third quarter Connor Koebernick found Arndt for a 26-yard touchdown to tie the game at 20, Eli Grove’s PAT gave the Tigers the lead.
Nathan Beyer added 75 yards on the ground, and defensively Gage Wevley had a monster game with five tackles-for-loss and three sacks, Arndt and Alex Daugherty added an interceptions and MACA improves to 3-3. Osakis fell to 2-4.

Sauk Centre 28, Minnewaska Area 27
SAUK CENTRE – Casey Schimmers threw for 313 yards and four touchdowns and Sauk Centre held on for 28-27 win over Minnewaska Area.
Royal Weber had four catches for 165 yards with two of the touchdown receptions, Dylan Haskamp ran for 100 yards.
Matt Gruber threw for 104 yards and ran for 85 more with two touchdowns. Ryan Christianson had 88 yards rushing, Jackson Johnsrud and Jaeger Jergenson combined for 87 yards receiving with Jergenson catching a touchdown.
The Lakers are now 4-2 while the Mainstreeters improve to 4-2.

BOLD 58, Montevideo 6

Brandon-Evansville 40, Underwood 12
BRANDON – Brandon-Evansville ran for 460 yards and five touchdowns in a 40-12 victory over Underwood on Friday.
Nick Thorstad had 150 yards with score, Taylor Bitzan added 140 with two touchdowns, and Jake Hintermeister scored twice as well.
Defensively Tanner Bitzan had seven tackles while Hintermeister grabbed an interception and the Chargers are now 5-1.
Bradley Rocholl threw for 69 yards for the Rockets, running for 72 and a touchdown as they fall to 2-4.

Rothsay 34, Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 0
ROTHSAY – Jacob Christ ran for 183 yards and two touchdowns leading Rothsay past Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 34-0 on Friday night.
Christ is supposed to be the compliment to lead back Wyatt Curtis, buck took the spotlight with a pair of long runs in the second half, including a 55-yard touchdown.
The Wolverines were their own worst enemy with six fumbles, losing four, three of those four killed promising drives.
Trailing just 6-0 at halftime, CGB fumbled on the first play of the second half, and again on what looked to be a touchdown run by Cedric Barnes before coughing it up just before he crossed the goal line. The Tigers turned those turnovers into 14 points.
Curtis ran for 121 yards and a score for the Tigers who are now 5-1.
Cedric Barnes ran for 78 yards, Bryce Hoffmann earned player of the game with nine tackles defensively, and three receptions for 66 yards. The Wolverines are now 1-5.

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross 49, Laporte 0
WHEATON – Wheaton/Herman-Norcross was hungry for a win and it showed on Friday with a dominant 49-0 rout of Laporte.
Christian Krump ran for 95 yards on 10 carries and the Warriors got rushing touchdowns from Nelson Schmidt, James Conroy and Sean Nachbor.
Spencer Ellison caught two passes for 45 yards and two touchdowns while Jacob Sanasack hauled in a score of 25 yards. Tate Serocki led the Warriors defense with eight tackles and an interception.
The Warriors are now 1-5, Laporte falls to 0-6.
