Holdingford 34, Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 6
HOLDINGFORD – Griffin Olson ran for two long touchdowns early and Holdingford defeated Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 34-6 on Friday.
Olson carried 17 times for 157 yards and four touchdowns to help the Huskers build up a 34-0 lead, before the Tigers Camden Arndt scored on a 12 yard run.
Arndt ran for 102 yards on 22 carries while Connor Koebernick rushed for 90. Mace Yellow and Zach Hughes each had an interception for the Tigers who are 0-1. 

Verndale 36, Brandon-Evansville 26
BRANDON – Mack Jones accounted for three touchdowns and 276 yards as Verndale defeated Brandon-Evansville 36-26 on Friday.
Jones threw for 120 yards and a touchdown while running for 156 with two scores and the Pirates never trailed.
The Chargers kept the game close but could never quite catch the Pirates.
Keagan Schiele had a 64 yard touchdown run but was just 2-11 passing, Jake Hintermeister ran for 148 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries. Darrin Wibstad had an interception and sack to lead the defense, along with a 41 yard reception to set up the Chargers first score.

Bertha-Hewitt 28, Wheaton/Herman-Norcross 7
BERTHA – Bertha-Hewitt raced out to a 28-0 first half lead, and defeated Wheaton/Herman-Norcross 28-7 on Friday night.
The Bears racked up 325 yards on the ground, and only had to attempt two passes. Nelson Schmidt for the Warriors accounted for 111 total yards offensively, and nine tackles on defense.
