High Speed Chase In Morris Ends With Two Arrests 26 Aug 17
Two people face numerous charges in Stevens County court following a high speed chase that ended on Morris’ main street on Tuesday.
32-year-oldLance William Olson, of Duluth, is facing four charges including receiving a stolen motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, identity theft,  and possession of marijuana.
21-year-old Katlyn Cheryl Hudulla, of Cottage Grove, is facing 7 charges including fleeing a police officer, 1st degree property damage, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, reckless driving, DWI, identity theft, and 5th degree controlled substance crime. The pair made their court appearance on Thursday.
Olson and Hudulla encountered a Minnesota State Patrol officer on Highway 9, south of Tintah. A chase with a white 2001 Chevy pickup, stolen from Ogilie last Saturday, ensued that led through the streets of Herman and Donnelly, at times driving in the opposite lane and in the path of oncoming traffic.Stop sticks were deployed on Highway 9 north of Donnelly but the chase continued into Morris.
The complaint alleges the pair threw out stolen checkbooks and other stolen identity cards along the chase. With its tires shredded, the pickup came to a stop at the corner of Atlantic and South Streets in Morris.
