ABERDEEN – Ryan Bowman tossed a complete game to earn the win as the Morris Two-Niners defeated Fargo 8-2 on Friday at the Vern Jark Wood Bat Tournament in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Bowman allowed two runs on five hits, he walked three and stuck out five. 

Denner Dougherty went 1-2 with two RBI’s, Toby Sayles, Brendan Goulet, and Tyler Reimers each collected an RBI for Morris.

ABERDEEN – The Aberdeen Smittys broke a tie game with three runs in the bottom of the fourth, and would hang on for a 7-6 win over the Morris Legion 29ers on Sunday.

Toby Sayles led Morris with two hits and an RBI at the plate, while Jared Rohloff and Trevor Voges each drove in a run as well. 

Tim Travis started and took the loss, going four innings, allowing seven runs (six earned), on eight hits with four walks and two strike outs. Tyler Reimers threw two innings of shutout relief for the 29ers who are now 1-2 on the season.

ABERDEEN – Winner pounded out 15 hits in a 12-0 win over the Two-Niners on Saturday, the game ended in four innings.

Chandler Vogel lasted just 1.1 innings in the loss, allowing nine runs (eight earned) on ten hits. Trevor Voges pitched 1.2 innings of relief, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits. Ryan Bowman, Toby Sayles, and Parker Dierks each had a hit.

Huron 6, Morris 2
ABERDEEN – Huron scored five in the sixth inning for a 6-2 win over Morris in the Two-Niners final game of the tournament on Sunday. Mitchell Dufault took the loss in relief of Parker Dierks. Dierks tossed four innings allowing an unearned run. Dufalt gave up five runs (one earned) on three hits. 

Ryan Dietz and Toby Sayles each had a hit and RBI for the Two-Niners who fall to 1-4.
