BRANDON – It took about six minutes of game action for the Brandon-Evansville Chargers to find their rhythm, but once they did they cruised past the Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley Wolverines in a 75-48 win on Thursday night in Brandon

With the Wolverines leading 13-7 with 12 minutes remaining in the first half, Chargers head coach Dick Simpson called a timeout so his team could regroup. They switched from a zone to man-to-man defensive look and finished the first half on a 23-4 run.

Offensively, after opening the game shooting just 2-19, the Chargers would go on to hit 13 of their next 14 shots and created a big lead that the Wolverines weren’t able to overcome.

Shyanna Behrens and Carrigan Okerlund each finished with 16 points, with Behrens hitting four threes for the Chargers who snapped a three-game losing streak to get coach Simpson off career win number 600, and earn number 601 and a 15-7 record this season.
