House Investment Committee in Grant, Pope, and Stevens 06 Nov 13
The House Capital Investment Committee will visit several sites in Southwest and Central Minnesota this week, hearing from constituents on projects for possible consideration in the 2014 Bonding Bill.
There are twenty-one members in the committee and several are touring through their home districts, including committee member Jay McNamar, Democratic Representative from Elbow Lake.
The Committee will be in Grant, Pope and Stevens County today (Wednesday), stopping at the North Ottawa Impoundment at 4:00 p.m., at the Cyrus Fire Hall at 5:15 p.m. tonight, and ending today’s tour at the University of Minnesota, Morris at 6:00 p.m.
Local stakeholders will present their requests and ideas to the committee, including presentations on school efficacy grants, state transportation funds, and Lake Redwood reclamation.
