Elections Results Trickling In 06 Nov 13

Tuesday, November 5 was Election Day and on Wednesday, November 6, results are being posted.

Polling results in most West Central Minnesota voting districts are still pending, with results being tallied and submitted to the Secretary of State.
Voters in the Chokio-Alberta School District have approved two funding questions, extending two existing referendum votes for 10 years. The current levies are about $2,500 per student. Both questions passed with over 75% of registered votes.
Voters in the KMS School District approved both bond referendum questions on Tuesday. The first question, which was to issue $9.5 million in bonds to pay for improvements at both the high school in Kerkhoven and the elementary school in Murdock, passed on a vote of 664 to 219. The second question, which was to spend $1.26 million to build a new gym at the high school passed on a vote of 543 to 336.
In Benson, the school district will repeal a levy of $720 per pupil unit and replace it with a $1,200 per pupil unit levy.
Results have yet to be posted for municipal elections in Benson and a bonding question in Appleton. Several school districts–including West Central Area and Sauk Centre–had referendum votes scheduled. Final tallies have not yet been verified by the Secretary of State.
