Looking to add some pizzazz to ordinary garden fare? Ready to try some new colors and tastes without leaving homegrown? What are these unusual garden and orchard suspects, and why bother with welcoming them to your garden and plate? Join Mary Jo Forbord, Morris Healthy Eating Coordinator, Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist and Farmer, for some fun exploring the edges of local growing and cuisine.
This program is offered through the Come Grow with Us education series at the West Central Research and Outreach Center. On Wednesday, October 16, lunch begins at noon, and a half-hour program begins at 12:15 p.m. In AgCountry Auditorium at the WCROC, 46352 State Hwy 329, Morris. Bring a lunch – coffee, tea and dessert provided. Admission is free; donations accepted.
