Huber Sentenced for Role in Murder 15 Jul 13

Timothy Huber was sentenced in Kandiyohi County District Court on
Friday, July 12 for his role in the murder of Tim Larson. Larson, a
teacher from Albertville, was at his father Norman Larson’s farm in
rural Belgrade on October 8, 2011 when Huber’s father, Delbert Huber,
killed Larson with a shotgun. 47-year old Timothy Huber and his father
failed to call the authorities for several hours after the shooting.

Huber was sentenced to 306 months in prison: 25.5 years. Huber will
not be eligible for parole until he has completed two-thirds of his
sentence. In handing down the sentence, Judge Spilseth says he found a
lack of remorse about the death of Larson. Huber was given credit for
time served. He has been in custody since his arrest in October, 2011.

Delbert Huber is currently serving a sentence of over 30 years. The
father and son have also been ordered to pay $44,323 in restitution to
the family of Tim Larson.
