Law Enforcement Recovers Stolen Guns, Drugs in Osakis 06 Feb 13

Local officers have recovered stolen property in the City of Osakis, discovering illegal drugs along the way. On Monday, January 28, the Glenwood Police Department, Osakis Police Department, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and the West Central MN Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at 11 Main Street West in Osakis.

The Glenwood Police Department was investigating the theft of two guns from a residence. During the investigation officers learned the guns had been traded for an outstanding drug debt and the guns were located in Osakis. 24 year old Michael Stordahl of Glenwood was arrested for the theft of the guns.

During the search warrant, agents located the 2 stolen guns in the apartment along with Marijuana, scales, and packaging supplies. Officers also located $2,310 in currency.

Stordahl remains in custody at the Douglas County Jail. Two Osakis juveniles were also questioned in relation to the raid: A 17 year old male remains in custody at a juvenile facility. A 17 year old female was not arrested but charges are pending.
