Head-On Collision Near Brooten Sends Four to Hospital 03 Jan 13

 A mother and young son were taken to the hospital yesterday following a head-on collision in Stearns County. Debra Fraser, 41, and her 4 year-old son, Alexander, both of Willmar, were traveling were travelling westbound on Highway 55 near Brooten when their car slid into oncoming traffic, colliding with a Suburban containing Sarah Lockwood, 47, of Spicer, and Virginia Letourneau, 70, of New London. All four were transported to Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood. Debra Fraser and her son suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. Lockwood and Letourneau had no apparent injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the scene, assisted by the Brooten and Belgrade Police Departments along with local ambulance crews.
