Morris City Attorney Aaron Jordan swore in newly elected city council member Brian Solvie on Tuesday, November 13. The newest member of the council was elected to fill a two-year term, the remainder of a four-year term resigned by Twig Webster earlier this year. With Morris Mayor Sheldon Giese and Council Members Matt Carrington, Jeff Miller and Bill Storck (re-elected on November 6) looking on, Solvie swore to uphold the charter of the city and the Constitution of the United States.
Solvie immediately resumed office. The City Council had appointed former Mayor Carol Wilcox to fill Webster’s chair on an interim basis until November’s election.
