Natasha Mortenson, a teacher at the Morris Area Schools, has been awarded an Excellence in Teaching About Agricultureaward, a competitive program through the US Department of Agriculture. Mortenson will be one of five teachers receiving the national teaching award at the 2012 Ag in the Classroom Conference in June.

Mortenson’s award letter notes that she was selected based on her “creative, impactful and professional strategies to teach students about the importance of agriculture.”
