A two vehicle crash in Pope County resulted in serious injury yesterday morning (February 1). According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a pick-up driven by Ronald Hayek, of Glenwood, spun out on an icy section of Highway 29 and was broadsided by a van with Alexandria’s Timothy Martin behind the wheel. Neither driver had a passenger. Martin was injured in the crash; he sustained non-life threatening injuries. Hayek’s condition has not yet been released. The Pope County’s Sheriff’s Office assisted in the incident.
