A local cattle rustler might be in custody. According to KSAX News, 23 of Robert Ludvigson’s 26 cattle that were stolen early Saturday morning have been found at both the Pipestone and Benson Livestock Exchange. The cattle were noticed missing from a feedlot when other cattle were found running around a farm yard in Garfield Township southwest of Madison. Tracks were seen leading up to a loading area and pens were moved. The steers, raised for slaughter, are valued at around $40,000. Authorities say they have a suspect but have not released any names.
