Here's what's happening:
KMRS Radio 1230AM will broadcast live the Hancock 4th of July Parade beginning at 1:30pm.
Annual 4th of July Celebration will once again be held in Hancock on July 4th. The Firemen's Relief Breakfast starts at 7:00 with the 5K walk/run at 7:40. There's a Little League All-Star game at 9:30 and the Cattlemen and Pork Producers dinner at noon. Don't miss the Kiddie Parade at 1:00, followed by the Grand Parade at 1:30. There will be a patriotic piano concert at 2:30, the tractor pull at 3:00, and Bingo from 3 to 5. Don't miss the Community Choir Concert, the Street Dance at 8pm, and fireworks at dusk.
26th Annual Heritage Days is scheduled for July 3rd through the 6th in Starbuck. Start your weekend out with a Movie in the Park, showing "National Treasure II", beginning at 9:30. Friday brings the Youth Golf Tournament at 4, the Pork Feed from 5 to 8, and the Johnny Holm Band at 8:30. Get up early on Saturday and enjoy the Flying Club's Pancake Breakfast beginning at 7am, a softball tournament starts at 9, and arts, crafts, bake sales, and more all starting at 9 downtown. Saturday also has the Kiddie Parade at 10, Old fashioned carnival games, a sculpture contest, and fireworks at dusk. Sunday is another fun-filled day beginning with the Community Church Service in the park, a Ham Dinner, a hamburger barbecue, the Grand Parade at 1:30, and the Queen's Coronation following the parade.
Clinton 125th Celebration will be held July 4th through 6th in Clinton. Everything starts off early on Friday with the Walk/Run at 7:30, the 80 and Over Coffee Gathering from 9 to 11, a hog roast at 11am, baseball starting at noon and the Sherwin Linton band from 1 to 4pm on the main street stage. At 5pm enjoy the opening ceremonies, including the Little Miss Pageant and the Miss Clinton Queen Pageant with fireworks following at dusk. Saturday is another fun-filled day with the All-School Reunion, co-ed volleyball tournament, another Sherwin Linton Show, the Kiddie Parade and tractor pull followed by the Tractor Parade, and the Fireman's Street Dance with Billy D. and the Crystals at 9. Sunday rounds everything off with community church services and the 125th Grand Parade starting at 2pm.
